Batman No Man's Land Vol. 2 felt more like reading incoherent babble. It came as a disappointment after I considered how well the issues connected in Vol. 1. Each issue in the first part connected with a vignette style presenting Gotham City after a horrific earthquake. This is the first book after the big series of No Mans Land, where Gotham is ravaged by a massive earthquake. During that series, some Gothamites flee, while others stay and try to restore the city from the ravages of the natural disaster, and those caused by people trying to take advantage in the aftermath. The first volume in this mega-arc starts strong with Gordon and the remaining GCPD trying to provoke fights between gang factions to gain ground in former Gotham (now No Man's Land). Other points of interest include a mysterious new Batwoman, and the various kooks from Arkham carving out their own turf, including the Joker who is roving quietly like a jackal.
