The author is Fannie Flagg. This is the third novel of hers that I have read, the others being "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "The All Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion". More or less, I like them all about the same. Redbird Christmas is absolutely one of my holiday favorites! Right up there with It's a Wonderful Life, and Elf, I'm so glad to listen to Fannie Flagg narrate this book. The characters are dear and their struggles are the kind one imagines would be experienced by a neighborhood right smack dab on a river in Alabama.
